Video: watch a virtual guided tour of some of Ipswich's treasures.

Welcome to Ipswich!

This year the town’s celebration of HOD is taking place online. As we’re unable to offer you a special (free) HOD guided tour in person, we’ve prepared our first ever virtual guided walk. Our aim is to highlight our favourite spots, and some ‘hidden treasures’ in Ipswich.

This virtual walk includes fascinating facts and glimpses of the Hold, Waterfront, Isaac Lord’s, the Jewish cemetery, Sophia Duleep Singh’s mural, St Peter’s Courtyard, Unitarian Meeting House, St Mary Elm Church & Cottages, Pykenham’s Gatehouse and Christchurch Park & Mansion.

Of course we’d much rather take you on a walk in person so why not take one of our regular scheduled walks?

Every Tuesday & Thursday afternoon (until the end of September). Time: 2.15 pm (Please arrive 10 minutes early for registration.)

Meet: Suffolk Archives, the Hold (near to the University on the Waterfront)

Cost: £4 per person.

More details from Ipswich Tourist Guides.    Download the leaflet.

Advance Booking (not essential).

Watch out for our great Afternoon Tea Walks starting in October.
