Ipswich Maritime Trail

You can use The Ipswich Maritime Trail, fully revised by The Ipswich Society, to explore parts of the ancient town of Ipswich mainly on the unchanged medieval street layout. The colour map in the centre-spread shows the 34 locations on the trail. To accompany and highlight parts of the trail, in 1982 the Society commissioned local engineering company, Crane Ltd, to cast and colour bespoke oval plaques for ten of the buildings which you can identify along the way.
