Our new laptop & email

The Society has recently provided our Honorary Secretary with a dedicated laptop. This was a much overdue acquisition and enables our secretary to separate her work on behalf of the Society from her personal work.

We are very grateful for the support, assistance and advice provided by one of our members, Fraser Yates. He assisted in setting up the laptop and the new "generic" email address of secretary@ipswichsociety.org.uk That is now the published email address and contact point for the Society.

Very importantly contact group email messages can be sent out to members with greater ease saving valuable time for our secretary and keeping members up to date and informed in a timely manner. This is an important step in our efforts to increase our electronic communication with members. However, don't worry if you prefer to be contacted in traditional methods; they remain in place.
