Pykenham's Gatehouse

This fascinating little building will once again be open to the public on the first Saturday of each month from May to October between 10.30 and 12.30. For more than 500 years the Gatehouse has stood here, and stands today, a rare and valuable survival of medieval Ipswich. Many of you will already have made a visit but those who have not should seize the opportunity. Children especially are intrigued by the hidden stairway.
