This is not about a football club and a rich owner. The Chelsea Building Society has incorporated the premises next door into their pre-existing office on the comer of Princes Street and King Street.
Both buildings now refurbished make an attractive pair illustrating the flair and originality of 19th century Ipswich architect Thomas W Cotman, who also designed the spectacular Lloyds Bank on the Cornhill. The comer building especially, completed in 1900, contains many original features.
